It took me ages to translate it, but here it is: the complete Roger-Marc interview is now available in english. The fascinating Polyphonic Size story, seen from the inside. BAINS DOUCHES 82 & UNRELEASED TAPES (20/04/05)

Below is a first pic of the Paris Bains Douches 4/11/82 concert, taken from a photos set found by Roger-Marc and enlarged by Glen. We now have 14 Cds of Polyphonic Size UNRELEASED TAPES, taken from about one hundred cassettes found in Roger-Marc archives. The oldest tapes are mostly instrumental electronic stuff, with great alternative versions of Nagasaki Mon Amour, Space Rejection, Winston & Julia, ZAS, Girlscout, Mother's Little Helper, etc... Algorhythmic EP masters tape has been stolen long time ago, but we have found an instrumental version, with a great sound quality (much better than the vinyl EP), and 2 unreleased tracks. The 2 first LPs instrumental versions are compiled on psize 02. They sound quite different from the records, with extended versions and extraordinaire Luc Van Acker, Kloot, Roger-Marc and JJ Burnel's guitars and bass. In the early days, Polyphonic Size didn't have any drummer on stage, using rhythm tapes instead. They are now on CD (psize 10) : a smashing hyper modern sound, minimalistic and electronic. Although Polyphonic Size released almost nothing between 1985 and 1988, they have recorded tons of demos, stupidly rejected by Virgin Records, and now compiled on 3 CDs (psize 11/12/13). Real great stuff! Lovestorible, Propagande, Love By Love, No Colours... A couple of tracks were later included on the Black K7 : NY un soir, Dreams. The very last sessions with JJ, and the full 1988 Marquee gig (with JJ singing Winston & Julia) are all on CD 14.

psize 13 : DREAMS. Demos 1986-1988, The Overnight Day instrumental demos.
psize 14 : BATEAU IVRE. The Marquee 1988 gig, last sessions with JJ Burnel, Cambridge 1989-90.

Well, I don't think the whole stuff will be available in stores one day, but maybe a compilation, with the best material avalaible ? Maybe...
